Gordon Spaugh, the Vice President of Carolina Tree Care, was elected to the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Vegetation Management Association (NCVMA) for 2015 & 2016, an organization that brings together people interested in the management of North Carolina’s vegetation.

NCVMA provides vegetation management education to the public, by delivering the latest information on research, education, regulation and contracting. The NCVMA has also partnered with NC Agricultural Foundation, an organization that supports research and teachings at the College of Agriculture and Life and Sciences at NC State University, to provide scholarships to students that have interest in the vegetation management field. The Association has contributed over $51,000 to the NC Agricultural Foundation.

“I am excited for this opportunity,” Spaugh stated. “I have a passion for nature and I love that I now get to share my passion to help educate others and listen to the concerns of others about the vegetation of North Carolina to help build an even better looking state.”
