Improve Your View with Vista Pruning

At Carolina Tree Care, we take a customized approach to your tree trimming and pruning needs. We may be removing dead branches to promote tree health or healthy branches to improve a view. Vista Pruning

Selective pruning to allow a specific view, usually by creating view “windows” through the tree’s crown.  If you’re looking to open up your backyard to allow more sunlight or looking to enhance the view past the trees, this is the type of pruning we’d recommend.

We typically use one of two techniques when Vista Pruning. However we can use both techniques for certain trees. Learn more about the two different techniques below.  

• Crown Raising
  Crown raising is a type of selective pruning where our crew members are able to provide vertical clearance to your trees.
• Crown Thinning 
  Crown thinning is a type of selective pruning where the density of live branches is reduced, usually by removing entire branches from a tree. In Charlotte, NC we see a lot of crown thinning taking place because the canopies from hundred year old trees are so large. This type of pruning is important to keep trees sturdy and healthy.

 Our crews are certified safety professionals and understand the art that comes with pruning trees. When meeting with a certified arborist let them know the vision you have for your trees and/or what plans you have for your backyard! Having a vision for your backyard is extremely helpful when deciding what type of pruning should occur on your trees.
