Get to Know John Maurice, ISA Board Certified Master Arborist

Posted on:

Carolina Tree Care has welcomed another arborist to its ranks: John Maurice! John comes to us with 22 years of experience and a passion for the green industry that runs deep. Get to know him a little better below!

John Maurice discovered his love of tree care as a student at Central Piedmont Community College. He was working toward his horticulture technology degree (which he went on to earn in 2004), when an influential professor steered him toward arboriculture. An internship at the Bartlett Research Lab gave him greater insight into the world of tree care and stoked his passion for trees and his appreciation of them as living organisms that we couldn't live without. He knew he wanted to spread the knowledge he'd gained far and wide, and becoming an arborist representative was the way to do it.

John became an ISA-Certified Arborist in 2005 and went on to earn the title of ISA Board Certified Master Arborist in 2012. He's also ISA TRAQ qualified, meaning he has specialized knowledge in tree risk assessment.
